Working Hours & Shift Pattern

  • Full-time: Monday–Friday, 09:30–18:00
  • Part-time considered: 2–3 days per week (preferred days Monday, Tuesday and/or Saturday)
  • Saturday option: 08:30–16:00 (hours remain consistent in structure)
  • No late-night shifts, with a stable clinic-based timetable
  • Flexibility available depending on caseload and candidate availability
  • Regular attendance required at MDT meetings and staff discussions

Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join a leading paediatric therapy service in Central London (WC1E). Working within a welcoming, child-focused clinical setting, you will support children and young people aged 0–18 with a wide range of speech, language, communication, and feeding needs. The Children's Therapy Centre is deeply committed to delivering high-quality, individualised care through a multidisciplinary approach, offering excellent clinical support, strong professional development, and a warm team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments for children and young people
  • Develop tailored, evidence-based therapy plans aligned to each child’s needs and goals
  • Deliver engaging interventions using play-based, structured, and age-appropriate techniques
  • Manage a varied paediatric caseload within a clinic-based environment
  • Write detailed clinical reports, progress summaries, and recommendations independently
  • Monitor outcomes and adapt therapy approaches to ensure meaningful progress
  • Work closely with families, caregivers, and educators to support carryover into daily life
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with safeguarding and confidentiality standards
  • Contribute to a culture of learning, sharing knowledge, and continuous improvement within the team

Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy (BSc/MSc)
  • HCPC registration as a practising Speech and Language Therapist
  • Have the permanent right to work within the UK (no sponsorship required) 
  • Experience working with children in a clinic, school, or paediatric therapy setting
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills across speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Knowledge of evidence-based paediatric SLT interventions and child development
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children and families
  • Desirable: experience with ASD, dysphagia, stammering, or AAC systems
  • Also suitable for: Speech Therapist, Paediatric Speech Specialist, Communication Therapist
