Salary
£35,000 – £39,000 per annum, depending on experience and skills + benefits

Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Permanent, full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
Clinic-based in Kilburn, North West London, NW6.

• Wednesday to Friday: 11:00am – 7:00pm
• Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Monday and Tuesday: days off
• Supporting autistic children and children with additional communication needs in a specialist clinic environment
• Regular supervision, mentoring and multidisciplinary support provided

Job Description
As a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, you will deliver specialist assessment and therapy within a paediatric clinic in Kilburn, supporting autistic children and children with speech, language, communication and sensory needs. You will provide one-to-one assessments and evidence-based interventions, independently manage a paediatric caseload and produce high-quality clinical reports. Working closely with families, schools and multidisciplinary professionals, you will contribute to personalised therapy that helps children develop communication, confidence, functional skills and independence. This private healthcare setting offers an established pathway for an HCPC-registered clinician looking to build specialist Autism experience and progress from Band 5 towards Band 6.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality one-to-one Speech and Language Therapy to autistic children and children with additional communication needs
• Complete comprehensive speech, language and communication assessments using standardised and informal assessment tools
• Analyse assessment findings and develop personalised, evidence-based therapy plans
• Produce clear clinical reports, recommendations, therapy documentation and accurate records
• Manage your own paediatric clinical caseload independently and maintain high standards of clinical practice
• Work collaboratively with families, schools and multidisciplinary professionals to support each child's goals
• Supervise, support and contribute to the development of Speech and Language Therapy Assistants
• Create and maintain appropriate therapy resources for engaging, goal-focused intervention
• Contribute to service audits, quality improvement initiatives and research projects
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, clinical supervision, service development meetings and staff training

Essential Requirements

• Right to work in the UK, with Skilled Worker visa sponsorship available for eligible HCPC-registered candidates
• Current HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist is essential
• Minimum of one year's post-qualification experience at Band 5 level
• Experience delivering one-to-one Speech and Language Therapy to autistic children and children with communication needs
• Ability to independently complete assessments, interpret findings, develop therapy plans, manage a paediatric caseload and produce comprehensive clinical reports
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong written English, IT and report-writing ability
• Able to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team and supporting Therapy Assistants or junior staff
