An exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a specialist allied health service supporting neurodiverse children and young people across private healthcare and private education settings throughout Hampshire, including Crondall, Farnborough, Basingstoke, Winchester and Southampton.

Salary
£40,000 – £44,000 per annum + benefits

Crondall, Hampshire (GU10), with travel across Farnborough, Basingstoke, Winchester, Southampton and surrounding areas

  • Minimum 3 days per week (22.5 hours)
  • Up to full-time hours available
  • Minimum 38 weeks per year
  • Flexible working structure with home-based administration time
  • Travel across schools, homes, clinics and community settings as required

Job Description
As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will support neurodiverse children and young people aged 2–25 years across educational, community, home and clinic settings throughout Crondall, Hampshire (GU10), with travel across Farnborough, Basingstoke, Winchester, Southampton and surrounding areas. Working within a specialist paediatric Occupational Therapy service, you will deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy assessments, interventions and recommendations that promote independence, participation and positive life outcomes.

You will work with children and young people presenting with autism, sensory processing differences, learning disabilities, specific learning difficulties and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Referrals are received from NHS services, schools, paediatricians, charities, solicitors and private sources, providing a varied and rewarding caseload within a highly supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive paediatric Occupational Therapy assessments
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans and interventions
  • Support neurodiverse children and young people aged 2–25 years
  • Complete EHCP assessments, recommendations and associated reports
  • Deliver Occupational Therapy interventions across school, home, clinic and community environments
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcome reporting
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Provide specialist Occupational Therapy advice and recommendations
  • Contribute to tribunal reports and professional evidence where required
  • Maintain HCPC standards, safeguarding responsibilities and clinical governance requirements

Requirements

  • You must have the permanent right to work in the UK with no sponsorship requirement
  • BSc Occupational Therapy, HCPC Registration and RCOT Membership
  • Minimum 2–4 years' paediatric Occupational Therapy experience
  • Experience supporting neurodiverse children, autism and sensory processing needs
  • Knowledge of Children's Occupational Therapy, SEN support, EHCP processes and Occupational Therapy assessments
  • Strong communication, relationship-building and report-writing skills
  • Full UK driving licence, own vehicle and ability to travel across Crondall, Farnborough, Basingstoke, Winchester, Southampton and surrounding areas
