Join a newly established, purpose-built nursery in Bracknell, Berkshire, RG42 as a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, providing nurturing and individualised childcare within the Baby Room. Working with babies and children under two, you will become part of a small, supportive nurseries & early years team where personalised care, child development and curiosity-led learning are central to everyday practice.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Permanent, full-time position.
Bracknell, RG42.

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday with no evening or weekend work
  • Flexible arrangements may be considered, including four longer working days
  • Work closely with the Baby Room Leader and wider nursery team
  • Support babies' feeding, sleeping, care and learning routines throughout the day

Job Description
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will deliver safe, responsive and nurturing care within the Baby Room of a newly established, purpose-built nursery in Bracknell, RG42. The room supports babies and children under two in a calm environment designed around comfort, security and individual routines. You will act as a key person, build trusted relationships with children and families, and plan engaging experiences in line with the EYFS.

The nursery promotes personalised childcare, curiosity-led learning and a child-centred approach within well-equipped indoor and outdoor learning spaces. Working alongside the Baby Room Leader and wider team, you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and help shape practice as the setting continues to grow. This position would suit an experienced Nursery Practitioner or Early Years Practitioner who enjoys supporting babies through their earliest stages of learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, nurturing and responsive childcare for babies and children under two
  • Act as a key person for an allocated group of children
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS
  • Complete observations, assessments and development records
  • Support feeding, sleeping, bottle preparation and individual daily care routines
  • Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating Baby Room environment
  • Build positive and trusted relationships with parents and carers
  • Work collaboratively with the Baby Room Leader and wider nursery team
  • Support children's development through responsive, child-centred practice
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, hygiene and nursery policies

Essential Requirements

  • You must already have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Previous nursery or early years experience
  • Experience working with babies or children under two is highly desirable
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development
  • A caring and patient approach, with strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to manage key-person responsibilities while contributing effectively to a collaborative nursery team
