Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week
Wembley, HA9

  • Shift work scheduled between 7:30am and 6:00pm
  • Monday-to-Friday nursery environment
  • Weekly non-contact time is provided during the nursery day
  • Time owed can be taken in lieu
  • The setting provides childcare for babies, toddlers and pre-school children aged three months to five years

Job Description
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will join a caring Montessori nursery and pre-school in Wembley, HA9, providing nurturing childcare and engaging learning experiences for children aged three months to five years. You will help create a secure, inspiring and harmonious environment where every child can develop according to their individual needs. The setting follows Montessori principles alongside the EYFS, encouraging confidence, independence, creativity and a lifelong love of learning.

The nursery offers spacious outdoor areas for gardening, sports and active play alongside creative resources and experiences that support children's physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. Its inclusive, multilingual environment celebrates diversity and helps children and families feel welcomed and valued. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, nurturing and child-centred care that responds to each child's individual needs
  • Plan and deliver stimulating learning experiences informed by the EYFS and Montessori principles
  • Encourage children's confidence, independence, curiosity and creativity through purposeful activities
  • Complete accurate observations and maintain children's learning and development records
  • Create safe, engaging indoor and outdoor environments for babies, toddlers and pre-school children
  • Support gardening, sports, active play and creative learning opportunities within the nursery
  • Build positive and professional relationships with parents, carers, colleagues and the wider nursery community
  • Promote inclusion, diversity and respectful behaviour within a welcoming multilingual setting
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and nursery procedures at all times
  • Participate in staff training, team development and ongoing professional learning

Requirements

  • Sponsorship / right to work: Applicants should be able to confirm their right to work in the UK as part of the recruitment process
  • Qualification: A recognised Level 3 childcare or early years qualification, such as CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience level: Previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner, Qualified Nursery Practitioner or within an early years nursery setting
  • Specialism: An interest in Montessori education, EYFS practice and child-centred childcare
  • Capability: Able to complete observations, maintain learning records and contribute to purposeful activities and daily routines
  • Soft skill: Warm, patient and attentive, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Independence: Confident managing daily responsibilities while working collaboratively with the wider nursery team
