Permanent, full-time position, operating Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year, with closure between Christmas and New Year.

Salary
£50,000 to £55,000 per annum + benefits.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday, 51 weeks per year.
Based in Crouch End, Greater London, in the N8 area.

• The nursery is open from 7:30am to 6:30pm.
• The setting closes between Christmas and New Year.
• The Nursery Manager will lead the daily operation across the nursery.
• Responsibilities include staffing, rotas, ratios and operational cover.
• The role is based on site and requires visible leadership within the setting.

Job Description
As a Nursery Manager, you will deliver strong operational leadership across a recently opened 95-place nursery in Crouch End, Greater London. You will take ownership of the nursery’s performance, standards and daily operation while establishing a positive, accountable culture. Supporting babies, toddlers and preschool children, you will lead the team, maintain high standards of care and learning, work closely with the owner and help shape the setting as it grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the 95-place nursery.
• Take ownership of nursery performance, standards and operational delivery.
• Build, lead and develop a strong early-years team.
• Manage staffing, rotas, ratios and daily operational cover.
• Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, welfare and Ofsted requirements.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, development and retention of staff.
• Maintain high standards of care, learning and child development.
• Build strong relationships with parents and families.
• Manage incidents, complaints and safeguarding matters appropriately.
• Develop a positive, stable and accountable team culture within the growing setting.

Essential Requirements

• You must already have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
• Hold a relevant early-years qualification, ideally Level 3 or above.
• Have previous Nursery Manager experience or substantial Deputy Manager experience ready for progression.
• Have strong operational leadership experience within an EYFS nursery setting.
• Understand safeguarding, welfare, Ofsted expectations, staffing ratios, rotas and daily operations.
• Be calm, organised, accountable and confident managing parent relationships and difficult conversations.
• Be able to take ownership of a developing setting, lead a team and create structure and stability.
