Recruit by Nature is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a brand-new nursery coming in Autumn 2026 in Brentford. Working Hours & Shift Pattern
The nursery opening hours are 7:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, for 51 weeks of the year. The setting closes for one week between Christmas and New Year. Individual working arrangements will be discussed during the recruitment process.

Job Description
As Nursery Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership, management and daily operation of this brand-new Brentford nursery. Opening in Autumn 2026, the setting will provide an exciting opportunity to establish high standards of care and education, build a strong team and create a positive nursery culture from day one.

The new setting will offer well-resourced indoor and outdoor learning spaces, a home-from-home atmosphere and a holistic approach guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will help establish a positive culture based on child-led learning, curiosity, creativity and strong relationships with families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall operation and performance of the nursery
  • Recruit, support, supervise and develop the nursery team
  • Maintain high-quality EYFS care, education and safeguarding practice
  • Ensure the setting meets relevant regulatory and company standards
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
  • Monitor children’s progress and support effective learning journals
  • Oversee staffing, rotas, resources and daily nursery routines
  • Promote child-centred learning, outdoor play and extracurricular activities
  • Maintain a safe, secure, clean and stimulating environment
  • Lead the successful opening and continued development of the setting

Essential Requirements

  • You must already have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • You hold a recognised Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent subject.
  • You have substantial experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • You have previous experience managing a nursery, early years setting or senior childcare team.
  • You have strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding and nursery compliance requirements.
  • You are an inspirational leader with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • You can work independently, use initiative and take full responsibility for nursery operations.
  • Also suitable for: Deputy Nursery Managers, Early Years Managers, Childcare Managers, experienced Room Leaders, Senior Room Leaders and Third in Charges ready to progress.
