Salary & Employment
£34,000 per annum full-time equivalent, dependent on experience, plus benefits.
Permanent employment.
Full-time and part-time working options are available, with flexible arrangements. Part-time applicants should be able to work a minimum of two days per week.
This is a clinic-based position in Basildon, Essex (SS16).

What You Will Learn and Develop
As a Graduate Podiatrist, you will have the opportunity to consolidate your academic knowledge through practical experience with patients presenting with a broad range of foot and lower-limb conditions.

Your caseload may include general podiatry, diabetic foot care, nail and skin conditions, heel and foot pain, sports injuries, biomechanics and orthotics. With support from experienced colleagues, you will develop your ability to assess patients, form appropriate clinical decisions, create treatment plans and manage ongoing care safely.

You will also be able to broaden your knowledge of specialist services, including Swift verruca treatment, fungal nail laser, shockwave therapy and foot-scanning technology. The role provides a strong foundation for a long-term career in podiatry and an introduction to working within private practice.

Main Duties

• Complete clinical assessments for patients with foot and lower-limb concerns
• Develop appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans within your level of competence
• Provide safe, compassionate and patient-centred podiatry care
• Support patients with prevention, treatment options and long-term foot-health advice
• Build experience in general podiatry, diabetic foot care, biomechanics, orthotics, nail and skin conditions, pain and sports injuries
• Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical documentation
• Communicate clearly with patients and build positive therapeutic relationships
• Work closely with experienced clinicians and seek guidance when appropriate
• Follow HCPC standards, clinical governance requirements and safe working practices
• Participate fully in mentoring, funded CPD and in-house development opportunities

About You

• BSc in Podiatry or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Current HCPC registration as a Podiatrist, or eligibility to obtain registration before starting employment
• Newly qualified or recently graduated in Podiatry
• Interested in developing a career within general and private-practice podiatry
• Sound understanding of clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and patient safety
• Positive, compassionate and committed to delivering patient-centred care
• Confident communicating with patients and colleagues
• Open to feedback, mentoring and continued professional learning
• Able to contribute positively to a small and collaborative clinic team
• Permanent right to work in the UK. No sponsorship is available.
