Employment Type
Permanent, full-time or part-time. Flexible working arrangements are available, with part-time applicants required to work a minimum of two days per week. You must already have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Salary
£34,000 per annum full-time equivalent, dependent on experience + benefits.

Job Description
As a Newly Qualified Podiatrist, you will deliver safe, compassionate and patient-centred care from a community-focused clinic in Basildon. You will assess and support patients presenting with a broad range of foot and lower-limb conditions while consolidating the knowledge and practical skills developed during your degree. Working within private healthcare and the wider allied health sector, you will receive guidance from experienced clinicians as you develop greater independence in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and ongoing patient management. Your caseload may include general podiatry, diabetic foot care, nail and skin conditions, heel and foot pain, sports injuries, biomechanics and orthotics, alongside opportunities to develop knowledge of specialist treatment technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete clinical assessments for patients presenting with foot and lower-limb concerns
• Develop appropriate diagnoses and individual treatment plans within your level of competence
• Deliver safe, compassionate and patient-centred general podiatry care
• Provide patients with clear advice on prevention, treatment options and long-term foot health
• Build practical experience across diabetic foot care, biomechanics, orthotics, nail and skin conditions, pain and sports injuries
• Develop knowledge of specialist services including Swift verruca treatment, fungal nail laser, shockwave therapy and foot-scanning technology
• Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records in line with professional standards
• Communicate clearly with patients and colleagues to build positive therapeutic relationships
• Work closely with experienced clinicians, seeking guidance and clinical support when appropriate
• Follow HCPC standards, clinical governance requirements and safe working practices while participating in mentoring and funded CPD

Essential Requirements

• You must already have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
• BSc in Podiatry or an equivalent recognised qualification, with current HCPC registration as a Podiatrist or eligibility to obtain registration before starting employment
• Newly qualified or recently graduated in Podiatry, with the clinical foundation required to develop safely in practice
• Interest in developing experience across general podiatry and private-practice podiatry
• Sound understanding of clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and patient safety
• Compassionate and confident when communicating with patients and colleagues, with a positive approach to professional learning
• Able to develop towards independent clinical practice while recognising when to seek guidance from experienced colleagues
