Employment Type
Permanent, full-time, all-year-round position, working 40 hours per week.
Two positions are available, one supporting the under-2s room and one supporting the over-2s room.

Salary
£29,000 to £30,500 per annum + benefits.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week.

• Work within either the under-2s room or the over-2s room.
• Support children throughout the nursery’s full-time operating pattern.
• Apply consistent routines, age-appropriate learning and play-based activities.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment across the setting.

Job Description
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will deliver high-quality childcare and early education in an accredited Montessori nursery and preschool in Ascot, Berkshire. You will support children aged 0 to 5 within a prepared environment that combines Montessori principles with the EYFS framework. The role includes planning engaging activities, supporting children’s independence and confidence, building positive relationships with families and colleagues, and contributing to the development of either the under-2s or over-2s room. The setting offers specialist learning spaces, an outdoor classroom and a strong focus on individual child development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, nurturing and attentive care for children aged 0 to 5.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning through play.
• Support children’s independence, curiosity, confidence and individual development.
• Apply Montessori principles alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Build secure, professional relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Support children’s communication, language development, routines and settling-in where relevant.
• Encourage school readiness, independence and structured learning through play where relevant.
• Observe children’s progress and contribute to appropriate planning and records.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and child development best practice.

Essential Requirements

• You must already have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
• Hold a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
• Have practical nursery experience in an EYFS setting.
• Have experience supporting children aged 0 to 5 in an early-years environment.
• Be able to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Be calm, reliable, nurturing and able to build warm professional relationships.
• Work confidently as part of a team and contribute positively to the needs of the room.
