Working Hours & Shift Pattern
The nursery is open from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, for 51 weeks of the year. The setting closes for one week between Christmas and New Year. Individual shift arrangements will be discussed during the recruitment process.

Job Description
As a Level 2 Nursery Practitioner, you will provide high-quality care, support children’s learning and contribute to a safe, nurturing and stimulating EYFS environment. You will work closely with colleagues and families to help every child build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy positive early learning experiences.

The setting provides a home-from-home environment for babies, toddlers and preschool children, with opportunities for child-led play, creativity, outdoor learning and real-world exploration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, responsive and attentive care for children
  • Support children’s development in line with the EYFS framework
  • Plan and deliver purposeful play and learning activities
  • Observe, assess and record children’s progress accurately
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families
  • Support children’s communication, language and physical development
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive social development
  • Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating learning environment
  • Contribute to indoor and outdoor learning experiences
  • Work effectively as part of the wider nursery team

Essential Requirements

  • You must already have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • You hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent recognised subject.
  • You have relevant experience working in a nursery, childcare or early years setting.
  • You have experience supporting children’s care, learning and development.
  • You can contribute to EYFS practice through purposeful play, observation and daily routines.
  • You are caring, reliable and able to communicate effectively with children, families and colleagues.
  • You can work independently, use initiative and follow safeguarding and nursery procedures.
  • Also suitable for: Level 2 Nursery Nurses, Nursery Assistants, Early Years Practitioners, Early Years Educators and Childcare Practitioners.
