• Nursery opening hours are 7:30am to 6:00pm
• No evening or weekend working
• Flexible working arrangements may be considered
• Four longer working days may be considered depending on the nursery’s needs

Job Description
As a Level 2 Nursery Practitioner, you will provide safe, attentive and nurturing childcare for babies from birth to two years within a modern, purpose-built nursery in Binfield, Bracknell, RG42. You will work within the Baby Room alongside the Room Leader and experienced Level 3 Early Years practitioners to help every baby feel secure, settled and supported.

You will follow each child’s individual feeding, sleeping and personal-care routines while providing stimulating, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework. The Baby Room offers separate areas for mobile and non-mobile babies, a dedicated milk kitchen for safe bottle preparation and direct access to an enclosed baby garden.

The nursery combines the EYFS framework with curiosity-led, nature-inspired learning. Children are encouraged to explore through guided experiences and self-initiated play using thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces, natural materials and open-ended resources. This role offers the opportunity to join a close-knit nursery during an exciting period of growth, contribute ideas and develop your Early Years knowledge within a supportive Baby Room team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive and nurturing care for babies from birth to two years
• Follow individual feeding, sleeping, changing and personal-care routines
• Help babies feel secure, settled and confident within the nursery
• Plan and support age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS
• Encourage physical, emotional, social and communication development
• Complete observations and contribute to children’s development records
• Build positive and professional relationships with parents and carers
• Maintain a clean, safe, hygienic and stimulating Baby Room environment
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery procedures
• Work collaboratively with the Room Leader and practitioners while participating in training, planning and nursery activities

Requirements

• Applicants must be able to confirm their eligibility to work in the UK.
• A full and relevant Level 2 Early Years or Childcare qualification is essential.
• Previous nursery, preschool or Early Years experience is required, ideally within a Baby Room.
• A good understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and high-quality childcare practice.
• Confidence supporting feeding, changing, sleeping, observations and individual daily routines.
• A caring, patient, responsible and dependable approach with strong communication skills.
• Ability to use initiative while working independently and contributing positively to a close-knit team.
