Job Description
As a Band 6 Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, you will deliver specialist assessment and intervention for verbal autistic secondary-aged students with complex communication needs in Eltham. Taking ownership of the day-to-day school caseload, you will support social communication, emotional awareness and regulation, self-advocacy, functional communication, relationships and preparation for greater independence.
You will lead the school's Speech and Language Therapy provision while remaining connected to an experienced wider clinical team. Working across private education and allied health, you will collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Drama Therapists, dyslexia specialists, teachers, teaching assistants, SEND professionals and families to embed effective communication strategies throughout school life. The position also offers exposure to an established private healthcare therapy service while allowing meaningful professional autonomy within the school setting.
