Salary
£30,000 – £35,230 per annum (term-time only, dependent on experience) + benefits
Equivalent to approximately £34,000 – £40,000 whole-time equivalent.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

  • Full-time permanent position working within a term-time only structure
  • Multi-site role across schools, clinic, and community settings throughout East London
  • 2 days mainstream primary and secondary school work
  • 1 day within an SEN school in Whitechapel
  • 2 days Stratford clinic and community work
  • Clinic and community caseloads can include paediatric clients, adult clients, or a mixed caseload depending on therapist preference
  • Primarily weekday daytime hours, with flexibility depending on caseload requirements and travel between settings

Job Description
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work across a varied and rewarding multi-site caseload including mainstream primary schools, mainstream secondary schools, an SEN school in Whitechapel, Stratford clinic services, and community settings throughout East London (E15). This is a supportive and developmental SLT opportunity offering broad exposure across mainstream schools, SEN environments, clinic, and community services within a collaborative London-based setting. This is a multi-site role combining mainstream schools, SEN settings, clinic, and community work across East London, so candidates should be comfortable travelling between settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver speech and language therapy interventions across mainstream schools, SEN settings, clinic, and community environments
  • Manage a varied paediatric and/or adult caseload depending on experience and clinical interests
  • Complete assessments, therapy planning, reviews, and clinical documentation in line with HCPC standards
  • Support children and young people with communication, speech, language, and social interaction needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Participate in supervision, CPD sessions, peer support activities, and MDT collaboration
  • Travel between Stratford clinic sites, schools, and community visits across surrounding East London areas
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service quality standards and compliance
  • Build positive and professional therapeutic relationships with clients, families, education staff, and healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • No sponsorship available for this role. Applicants must have permanent right to work in the UK.
  • HCPC registration required or registered by September
  • Open to Newly Qualified, early-career, and experienced Speech and Language Therapists
  • Interest in mainstream schools, SEN settings, clinic, and community speech and language therapy services
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with clients, families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work independently and confidently across varied settings and caseloads
  • Also suitable for: Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, School-Based SLT, SEN Speech Therapist, Community Speech Therapist, Clinic-Based SLT, Newly Qualified SLT, Band 5 equivalent SLT, Band 6 equivalent SLT
