Paediatric Nurse – Full Time (Days)
9am – 6.00pm (Mon-Fri)

We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join a well-established private clinical setting in Ascot, Berkshire. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to work within a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment focused on delivering outstanding patient-centred care to children and their families.
The successful Paediatric Nurse will play a vital role in providing safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care, supporting patients from newborn through to adulthood while maintaining the highest clinical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including the implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions, escalating concerns promptly to the medical team.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately in line with clinical protocols.
- Provide education, reassurance, emotional support, and follow-up care to children and families, including weekly follow-up calls where required.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in line with clinical governance and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Adhere to infection control, health & safety standards, and CQC compliance procedures.
- Support clinical audits, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes.
- Assist consultants during minor surgical procedures and consultations when required.
- Manage clinical stock levels, order consumables and vaccines, and maintain accurate inventory records.
Requirements:
- Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Proven experience in paediatric nursing, including paediatric phlebotomy.
- Must be a driver
- A compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if required.
