Introduction

We are recruiting for a compassionate and clinically confident Registered Nurse to join a well-established nursing home in Plymouth, Devon. This is a full-time, permanent night shift position, ideal for an RGN, RMN, or RNLD who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a calm, supportive, and well-led care environment.

The Role

As a Registered Nurse working nights, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to residents with a range of physical health, dementia, and age-related needs. You will play a key role in clinical decision-making overnight, ensuring residents’ wellbeing, dignity, and safety at all times while maintaining excellent clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care in line with best clinical practice
• Administer medications safely and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Complete nursing assessments, care plans, and risk assessments
• Monitor residents’ physical and mental health, responding appropriately to any changes
• Provide clinical leadership and support to care staff on night shifts
• Ensure compliance with CQC standards, policies, and procedures
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and on-call professionals as required

Requirements

• Valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD)
• Previous experience within a nursing home, residential care, or similar setting
• Strong clinical knowledge with confident decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork abilities
• A caring, professional approach with a genuine commitment to elderly care
• Ability to work full-time night shifts
