Introduction
We are recruiting for a compassionate and clinically confident Registered Nurse to join a well-established nursing home in Plymouth, Devon. This is a full-time, permanent day shift role, ideal for a Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD) who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a supportive and well-led care environment.
The Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to residents with a range of physical health, dementia, and age-related needs. You will play a key role in clinical decision-making, care planning, and supporting care teams to maintain excellent standards of care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care in line with best clinical practice
- Administer medications safely and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Complete nursing assessments, care plans, and risk assessments
- Monitor residents’ physical and mental health, responding appropriately to changes
- Lead and support care staff on shift, providing guidance and clinical oversight
- Maintain compliance with CQC standards, policies, and procedures
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, GPs, and external healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD)
- Previous experience within a nursing home, residential care, or similar setting
- Strong clinical knowledge and confident decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork abilities
- A caring, professional approach with a genuine commitment to elderly care
- Ability to work day shifts on a full-time basis
