Registered Home Manager / Registered Service Manager – Nursing & Complex Care
£65,000 per annum | Full-time | Permanent

Introduction
We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Home Manager to lead a newly refurbished, purpose-built nursing home supporting adults with complex needs. This is a senior leadership role for a confident CQC Registered Manager who can drive quality, compliance, and service development while maintaining a calm, person-centred culture.
The service supports working-age to older adults with neurodegenerative conditions, mental health diagnoses, acquired brain injury (ABI/TBI), physical disabilities, and behaviours that may challenge. This is an excellent opportunity to take full operational ownership of a specialist service with strong clinical and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operational and clinical management of the service, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care.
- Act as the CQC Registered Manager, maintaining full compliance with regulatory standards and governance frameworks.
- Drive the service towards achieving and sustaining a minimum ‘Good’ CQC rating.
- Provide strong leadership to nursing, care, and support teams through supervision, appraisal, coaching, and performance management.
- Oversee staffing, rotas, recruitment, retention, and workforce planning.
- Ensure robust care planning, risk management, safeguarding, and incident reporting processes.
- Maintain oversight of medication management and clinical governance in line with best practice.
- Coordinate service user reviews and maintain effective relationships with families, commissioners, and external professionals.
- Work closely with regional, clinical, and compliance teams to embed continuous improvement.
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota (shared responsibility).
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CQC Registered Home Manager / Registered Service Manager within nursing, mental health, or complex care settings.
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, inspection frameworks, and quality governance.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent).
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, including nurses and support workers.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Confident with audits, risk assessment, safeguarding, and quality improvement.
- Ability to manage operational priorities, staffing, and service performance effectively.
- Desirable: NMC registration (RGN/RMN/RNLD).
Pay & Benefits
- £65,000 per annum
- Full-time, permanent contract (Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours)
