Introduction
We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Care Home Manager / Nursing Home Manager (Nurse Preferred) to lead a large residential and nursing care home, transitioning to include full nursing provision, based in Glossop, Derbyshire. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a confident and ambitious Home Manager who can drive quality, compliance, and team performance while supporting the strategic development of nursing provision within the service.

The Role
As Registered Care Home Manager, you will have full responsibility for the operational, clinical, and regulatory performance of the home. Leading multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, maintain full CQC compliance, and provide strong, visible leadership across the service during an important phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operational and clinical management of a large residential and nursing care home (60+ beds)
  • Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, inspections, and governance frameworks
  • Drive high standards of person-centred care, dignity, and resident experience
  • Lead, develop, and support nursing, care, and support teams through coaching, supervision, and performance management
  • Oversee staffing levels, recruitment, induction, training, and retention
  • Manage audits, safeguarding, risk management, and continuous quality improvement
  • Build strong professional relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders
  • Manage budgets, occupancy, and key performance indicators in line with service objectives
  • Support the ongoing development and expansion of nursing care provision within the home

Requirements;

  • Proven experience as a Registered Care Home Manager / Nursing Home Manager
  • NMC registration (RGN/RMN/RNLD) strongly preferred
  • Experience managing large homes (60+ beds) within dementia and general nursing care
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Home Manager
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, inspections, and compliance
  • Ability to evidence CQC ‘Good’ ratings within the last 3 years
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
  • Confident, values-led leadership style with strong people management skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care

Pay & Benefits:

Working Hours
Full-time role, primarily Monday–Friday, with flexibility required to meet operational needs, including occasional weekends and on-call responsibilities.
