Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Kilburn, North West London, NW6

Salary
£36,000 – £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience + benefits

Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 hours per week

  • Based in Kilburn, North West London, NW6 with travel across Bromley and Walthamstow clinics
  • Wednesday to Friday: 11:00am – 7:00pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Monday and Tuesday are scheduled days off
  • Travel between clinic locations is an essential part of the role

Job Description
As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will provide specialist occupational therapy services for autistic children and children with additional needs within a highly supportive private healthcare clinic environment. Based in Kilburn, North West London, NW6, you will work across three specialist clinic locations, giving you exposure to varied clinical environments while remaining part of one collaborative allied health multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with families, schools and other professionals to deliver evidence-based, child-centred occupational therapy. You will manage your own paediatric caseload, complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, develop evidence-based intervention programmes, produce high-quality reports and recommendations, and work closely with families, schools and fellow clinicians to help every child achieve meaningful outcomes.

This role offers structured supervision, ongoing mentoring and excellent opportunities to progress from Band 5 towards Band 6 within a specialist paediatric service committed to clinical excellence and continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality one-to-one occupational therapy for autistic children and children with additional needs
  • Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments using standardised and non-standardised assessment tools
  • Produce detailed clinical reports, recommendations and documentation
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based intervention programmes
  • Manage an independent paediatric caseload effectively
  • Carry out sensory, motor and functional assessments
  • Recommend sensory strategies, environmental adaptations and appropriate equipment
  • Work collaboratively with Speech and Language Therapists, Autism Specialists and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Build positive relationships with families, schools and other professionals
  • Travel between clinic locations across London as required

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate.
  • HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum one year's post-qualification experience.
  • Experience delivering occupational therapy to autistic children and children with additional needs.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and report-writing skills with the ability to complete assessments independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Confident managing an independent paediatric caseload and travelling between London clinic locations.
