Working Hours & Shift Pattern
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week, all year round
- Daytime shifts within core nursery operating hours
- Monday to Friday on a rota basis
Job Description
As a Nursery Practitioner (Level 3), you will play a key role in delivering outstanding early years education and care within a nursery based in Egham, Surrey (TW20) supporting children’s learning and development through engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). As a Nursery Practitioner, you will help create a warm, inclusive and stimulating environment, working as part of a supportive nursery team. This role is ideal for a caring, motivated Early Years Educator / Nursery Nurse who is committed to safeguarding and high-quality practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS
- Support children’s learning, wellbeing and emotional development across the early years age range
- Act as a key person, completing observations, assessments and learning journeys to support progress
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues to support children’s outcomes
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, tidy and welcoming nursery environment in line with health & safety requirements
- Support daily routines including meals, hygiene, sleep routines and smooth transitions
- Promote inclusive practice so every child feels valued, supported and able to participate
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting (preferred)
- Ofsted / child protection / paediatric first aid (desirable)
- Good knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development
- Warm, patient and confident with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and support positive nursery culture
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
