Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Nursery Assistant Manager to join a warm, nurturing early years, nursery environment in Staines, Surrey (TW18). The nursery provides high-quality childcare and education in a supportive, child-centred atmosphere where staff are valued and encouraged to grow. Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day leadership and smooth running of the nursery provision
- Lead, mentor, and guide early years practitioners to deliver outstanding childcare
- Ensure high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and the wider team
- Assist in maintaining compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards
- Promote a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for all children
- Support staff development through coaching and positive role modelling
- Contribute to planning, observations, and child progress documentation
- Help implement inclusive practice tailored to individual children’s needs
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)
- Significant experience in a Nursery Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, or Room Leader role
- Right to work within the UK (no sponsorship required)
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted expectations
- Up to date DBS required
- A calm, professional, and nurturing approach to supporting children and staff
- Ability to work effectively within a structured term-time schedule
- Commitment to delivering outstanding early years education and care
