Introduction:
We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to support the day-to-day leadership of a well-established residential care service based in Maidstone. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager in the overall running of the care home, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care.
- Work a split role with 22 hours on the floor and remaining hours focused on administrative and leadership duties.
- Lead, supervise, and support staff teams, promoting best practice, accountability, and consistency.
- Support care planning, audits, compliance, and quality assurance processes.
- Act as a positive role model, stepping up in the Manager’s absence when required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager within a residential care home is essential.
- Applications will also be considered from experienced Team Leaders who have carried out genuine managerial responsibilities (not purely senior care duties).
- A stable employment history with no frequent job changes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Sound understanding of care standards, compliance, and staff management.
Pay & Benefits:
- £15 per hour
- 44 contracted hours per week (22 hours on the floor and 22 hours in the office)
- Balanced role combining hands-on care and office-based responsibilities
- Opportunity to progress within a supportive management structure
Closing Statement:
This role would suit a confident Deputy Manager or a Team Leader who has already been operating at a managerial level and is ready for the next step. If you are committed to quality care, leadership, and long-term progression, we would welcome your application.
