Registered Care Home Manager (Nurse Required)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Care Home Manager (NMC registered) to take the lead at a well-established 60-bedded Nursing and Dementia Care Home based in Maryport, Cumbria.

This is a senior leadership role for an ambitious, values-driven manager who is looking for fresh energy, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real impact within a high-quality, family-run care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding Nursing and Dementia care
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, maintaining a Good or above standard
  • Provide strong operational leadership across staffing, occupancy, quality, and governance
  • Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Promote a positive culture centred on dignity, respect, and continuous improvement

About You:

  • NMC Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Care Home Manager
  • Proven experience managing a 60+ bedded Nursing & Dementia service
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
  • Strong operational and commercial awareness
  • Demonstrable history of achieving and sustaining CQC ‘Good’ ratings
  • Confident, compassionate leader with a genuine passion for older people’s care
