Working Hours & Shift Pattern

  • 4 working days per week, between Monday and Saturday
  • Daytime sessions with a planned, predictable appointment schedule
  • Mixed NHS and private caseload, with time allocated to both routine and extended treatments
  • Protected breaks built into the working day to support safe, sustainable clinical practice
  • Some flexibility around working days and start/finish times for the right candidate
  • Future scope to adjust sessions to support increased private demand or specific clinical interests

Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Dentist to join a progressive, patient-focused mixed dental practice in Sleaford, Lincolnshire (NG34). You will provide high-quality general dentistry to a well-established patient base, combining NHS care with strong private growth potential. The practice operates in a modern, fully digital environment and is supported by a friendly, experienced clinical and administrative team. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of general dental treatments to NHS and private patients in line with current clinical guidelines
  • Deliver high-quality routine care including examinations, prevention, restorative treatments, and simple prosthodontics
  • Identify and discuss suitable private treatment options to enhance patient outcomes where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and contemporaneous clinical records using fully computerised systems
  • Work collaboratively with dental nurses, reception, and practice management to ensure smooth and efficient patient journeys
  • Support the practice’s focus on preventative care, patient education, and long-term oral health
  • Comply with all relevant GDC, NHS, and practice policies including clinical governance, safeguarding, and infection control
  • Participate in internal audits, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives as required
  • Contribute positively to practice meetings, clinical discussions, and shared learning across the wider group

Requirements

  • GDC-registered Dentist with full, current registration
  • Active NHS Performers Number (essential for this mixed role)
  • Right to work within the UK (no sponsorship required for this role) 
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in general dentistry
  • Confident in providing a wide range of routine and restorative treatments to adult and child patients
  • Strong communication skills, with an empathetic, patient-centred approach
  • Organised, reliable, and comfortable managing a busy but well-structured clinical diary
  • Willingness to commute reliably to, or relocate to, Sleaford (NG34 area)
  • Familiarity with mixed NHS/private practice environments is desirable
