Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mental health professional to step into a Service Lead role within a well-established inpatient setting based in Baldock, Hertfordshire (SG7). Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across two acute mental health wards, promoting best practice and clinical excellence
• Lead, motivate, and support multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care within the private hospital 
• Ensure safe staffing levels and effective rota planning
• Offer hands-on clinical leadership, guidance, and mentorship
• Maintain compliance with Mental Health Act, CPA, professional, and organisational standards
• Oversee ward operations, documentation, and clinical governance processes
• Manage budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective service delivery
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain clear communication with senior leadership and key stakeholders

Requirements

• Registered as a Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Nurse
• Strong background in mental health services
• Proven experience leading teams of 30 staff or more
• Experience managing budgets and financial responsibilities
• Sound understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
• Ability to manage services in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Relevant experience as a Service Lead, Services Manager, or Mental Health Manager
