Introduction:
We are recruiting a dedicated Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join a well-run nursing home service on a permanent night shift basis. This role is ideal for a confident nurse who thrives in a calm environment, enjoys autonomy, and takes pride in maintaining high clinical standards overnight.
About the Role:
- Provide safe, effective nursing care throughout the night, ensuring residents’ comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
- Act as the senior clinical presence on shift, responding to changes in residents’ condition with sound judgement and professionalism.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately in line with NMC guidelines.
- Carry out clinical observations, documentation, and handovers to maintain continuity of care.
- Support and guide care staff overnight, ensuring a calm and well-organised shift.
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC registration.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or elderly care setting preferred.
- Confident decision-maker with strong clinical assessment skills.
- A calm, reliable, and compassionate approach to night nursing.
- Ability to work independently while remaining part of a wider clinical team.
