Introduction:
We are recruiting an experienced and values-driven Care Home Manager to lead a large, established care service in East Preston, West Sussex. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for the day-to-day management, quality, and performance of an 80-bed service providing nursing, dementia, residential, and respite care.

This role is ideal for a proven Home Manager who leads with compassion, inspires high-performing teams, and is committed to delivering outstanding, person-centred care built on the principles of wellness, happiness, and kindness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the service with full 24-hour accountability for care quality, safety, and operational performance.
  • Inspire, motivate, and role-model authentic leadership to ensure consistently high standards of care.
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, including CQC standards and relevant NMC guidance.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy levels to achieve strong financial and operational performance.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, local communities, GPs, and external professionals.

Leadership & Management:

  • Maintain visible, approachable leadership and set clear expectations across the service.
  • Develop a positive culture of continuous quality improvement through effective clinical governance.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and development of staff to build a stable, engaged workforce.
  • Ensure meaningful activities and independence are embedded into everyday life for residents.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing a care service of a similar size and client group.
  • Previous registration with the CQC as a Registered Manager.
  • Level 5 Leadership qualification or a registered nurse qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, safeguarding, and quality assurance.
  • A caring, compassionate, and people-focused leadership style.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Salary of £60,000 – £65,000 DOE.
