Introduction:
We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Nurse / Deputy Manager to join a well-established care home service in Southport. This role is ideally suited to an RMN-qualified nurse (or experienced RGN) who is looking to take the next step into leadership while remaining actively involved in clinical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care while acting as a senior clinical presence on shift.
  • Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the service, including clinical standards and staff supervision.
  • Work a structured rota combining hands-on nursing shifts with supernumerary management time.
  • Ensure care plans, medication management, and clinical documentation meet regulatory and professional standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the nursing and care teams to promote best practice and positive outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with an active NMC registration (RMN preferred; RGN considered).
  • Previous experience within a nursing or care home environment.
  • Confidence in leading teams and supporting junior staff.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of CQC standards.
  • A compassionate, organised, and proactive approach to care delivery.

Pay & Benefits:

  • £23.00 per hour
  • 39 hours per week – days only
  • 2 x 11-hour nursing shifts and 2 x 8.5-hour supernumerary shifts (including weekends)
