Ofsted Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Wythenshawe)
Salary: £55,000 per annum
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a small children’s residential home. This is a rewarding opportunity to shape a warm, stable and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.
As the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in driving quality, culture, and compliance within the home. You’ll lead the service with compassion, resilience and a strong child-centred approach, ensuring every young person receives exceptional care, safety and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the day-to-day running of the children’s home to meet Ofsted standards
• Ensure high-quality care, safeguarding and therapeutic support for all young people
• Recruit, mentor and develop a dedicated staff team
• Maintain regulatory compliance, policies and documentation in line with Children’s Home Regulations
• Drive continuous improvement and support the home through inspections and audits
• Build a positive, nurturing culture that empowers both staff and young people
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential childcare
• At least 1 year’s experience managing or deputising in a children’s home
• Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
• Compassionate, resilient leadership with a child-first approach
• Full UK Driving Licence (required)
