Introduction:
We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of a supported living service in Manchester. This is a permanent leadership role focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred support to adults with complex needs, while ensuring strong operational performance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support adults with complex mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities, and behaviours that may challenge.
  • Ensure services are safe, well managed, and fully compliant with CQC standards, health and safety legislation, and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyse behaviours of concern using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches.
  • Provide effective supervision and leadership to staff through regular supervisions, appraisals, team meetings, and rota management.
  • Complete, review, and monitor care plans on a monthly basis, ensuring clear evidence of person-centred care and service user involvement.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of PBS, safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, and best-interest decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality frameworks.
  • Proven experience supervising and managing staff within health or social care settings.
  • Knowledge of supporting individuals with mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities, and complex behaviours including self-harm.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
  • Commitment to training, development, and maintaining best practice.
  • Clear understanding of infection control responsibilities and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Deputy Manager or similar senior role.
  • At least 12 months’ experience supporting adults with mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities, or complex behaviours.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary setting.

Pay & Benefits:

  • £38,000 – £42,000 per annum
