Introduction:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join a specialist care home in Stourbridge, supporting residents with nursing, dementia, and complex care needs. This is a key leadership role, working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure outstanding clinical standards and a positive, person-centred culture.

You will play a vital role in coordinating day-to-day clinical operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in the leadership and day-to-day clinical coordination of the service.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the nursing and care teams to deliver consistently high standards of person-centred care.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and legislative requirements.
  • Oversee the smooth running of nursing units, liaising effectively with GPs and external healthcare professionals.
  • Provide strong clinical leadership, including supervision, audits, and infection control accountability.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Act as a visible, approachable role model for staff at all levels.
  • Maintain and monitor care standards in line with internal policies and best practice.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, probation reviews, and ongoing staff development.
  • Ensure staff are effectively supervised, appraised, and supported to succeed in their roles.
  • Handle complaints and feedback professionally, ensuring timely and positive outcomes.
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager when required, escalating issues appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse.
  • Experience supporting elderly residents in a nursing or dementia care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of person-centred care and clinical best practice.
  • Confident leadership style with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Salary: £43,545.92 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 35 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
